From Dave:
Wow... can't believe it's been 30 years... seems like it was just yesterday when I was in Skinner's office for skipping class... again... and he was introducing me to my English teacher! Speaking of teachers... I taught art at private elementary schools for six years (before moving to the valley), but my favorite teaching job was my seventh and final year. I tutored students with dyslexia, dysgraphia, and dyscalcula!

My partner of 17 years, Denny, and I live on a small farm just south of Harrisonburg. He works as a paralegal at a law firm in downtown H'burg. I am working part-time as a Vet. Assistant at Heartland Veterinary Clinic and as a Leader and Receptionist for WeightWatchers. When I'm not doing that, I take care of the kids (literally... I raise pygmy goats) and various other animals. We LOVE it out here and would highly recommend slowing down and taking in "life"... you'll live longer and enjoy it more!

Saw Pat B. and Lynn P. (and their husbands) in January when they came out to the farm for a visit. Keep in touch w/ Susan K. and Alison W., too. Have heard from Deb F., Debbie B., Vickie P., Karen M., Karen I., Patrick E., and Valerie S. as well. BTW: I used to work for Susan B's husband Jay... small world! Looks like I won't make it to the reunion afterall, but I would like to hear from any of my former classmates who wish to keep in touch.

Missed the other reunions, but after loosing some dear friends recently I can't afford to let another one go. After graduation like so many of our time I wandered for a few years befor finding me. I Graduated fron VT in 85 and spent 7 years in the USAF as a pilot. Met my wife Trena in Plattsburgh NY, had a son Jacob who is now 16 and wants to go to Tech. Along the I way went through 5 flying jobs, 3 houses, two dogs and we took in two boys that needed some guidence. I am layed off from American Airlines due to 911 and I work for the State Department now.
I look forward to seeing all that can make it and wish you all the best of health.

Hey everyone. I moved back to the D.C. area in April after a 17 year absense and I'm loving it. Slowly reconnecting with old friends but there are still a lot of people I'd like to get back in touch with. My job here requires me to travel quite a bit but I'm frequently in town. Looking forward to seeing everyone at the reunion and catching up on the latest. Go Majors.

30 Years?? I remember the Drama Depatrment... The Little Theater..... The Library..... Multiple encounters with Mr Skinner.... Trying to blow up Mr Dirner's Lab.... Comments about Mrs Lunters school pics while in algeba class ... Going to school with my older sister and younger brother...But we graduated thirty years ago?? ... You mean we actually graduated????

After graduation, I went to NoVaCoCo under my Fathers GI Bill and worked my free time. October 4th 1980, I joined the army on my mothers birthday (Did it to cut down on home expendatures) and started working with electrionics. Everything from two wire field telephones to field computers and Satelite Communication systems. Got put out in 1987 under the Graham-Rudman Act, and went to work for Continental Cablevision. Left there and became a rent-a-cop. Two years later, I'm back into electronics actually making the circuit boards for hearing aids and original cell phones. That plant closed down and I started making the panels and structures you see covering mall entrances and building sides. 1997 moved to Florida on a whim from my wife, divorced in 1998, got my licence to operate water plants in Florida in 1999, and have been making water since. I don't mind Florida, except for the roaches, hurricanes, a one week spring and fall, a one month winter, a six month rainy season, and all the snowbirds (sorry to the snowbirds reading this). In thirty years I haven't lost any memories, but if you happen to see my mind... please let me know.

Looking forward to seeing all the beginning of November.

Spent the last 26 working years working full time in the Management consulting business, with the last 20 years at Booz Allen Hamilton. Remarried 18  months ago and with 2 of mine (my son is a junior at CALPoly and daughter is sophmore at West PO) and 2 of his (son at ODU and one in Seattle) we have a full house at the holidays. Really looking forward to reconnecting with old friends!  Just took my 15 yr old daughter a week ago to the West PO v. Mt Vernon game -- felt like old times driving through the crowded parking lot at Mt Vernon  (West PO won.....). Still live in the area - off of Ft.Hunt Road (I know -- enemy territory) -- but we love the area and like being near the river and Old Towne.  Send me an Email!  Ebbertsa@aol.com -- love to hear from you!

Glen Kiltz!  Good golly man are you still around?  I had everyone sign a card for you at the 10 year reunion.  I was hoping it made you feel really bad for not being there :^).  Somehow I got lost for the next 20 years.  I look forward to seeing you at the reunion.  I promise we won't block you in the door and prevent you from getting to the next class :^)!

I can't believe that Doug Christensen is whimping out on us!  Ya, I'm talking about you :^)!  Everyone else is going to be there.  No wives that I can tell, so it's safe boy!  We're just going to wreck a few cars so please do bring your '69 AMX!  Paul Sylyvester, if you caught that, is going to teach a class on how to park a VW in a spot only 8' wide.  I will be teaching a class on how to roll your car and still make it to a job interview on time.  Randy Karalus is going to teach a class on how to get married really young :^)!!!!

Me, in recent years, being I have no life, have taken up the hobby of collecting guns of various types.  To me it makes up for my other inadequacies :^).  But that's so sterotypical!

A while back I started my own business and have been developing it for a few years.  I have two employees who seem to think my venture is a good idea and have stayed with me through thick and thin.

My outlook is that life is good but no one said it was going to be easy, especially when the government gets involved.   I very much look forward to seeing everyone, whether or not I remember them......

Pointon...UVA is scum !  I can't believe you went there..:^).

John

UPDATE:  Apparently there will be wives of our sub-group attending.  That's good, I'd like to meet them.  If they seem normal, it will give me hope.

CLARIFICATION:  Paul could "parallel" park a VW in a space one foot narrower than the length of the Bug.  Randy did not marry young, he only married a youngin' :^).  I know how you hate me saying that Randy but you've got to learn to accept the truth :^).
